As website developers we do our best to protect our customers and provide information about security risks. However, there is no way to completely prevent your site from being hacked. Even the largest corporations who spend millions of dollars on security cannot keep their websites and online systems 100% safe. In short, you can create safeguards but stopping website hackers is very hard to do.

To keep your site as safe as possible we provide the following risk reduction services for our clients:

  • Install and configure reputable third-party security plugins
  • Keep up to date on industry-standard best practices for security and implement where appropriate
  • Monitor emerging threats and notify customers if their sites are likely to be affected
  • Review and update site every month*
  • Keep monthly backups of the site (if hosted by MCG)*

*Customers with a Maintenance Agreement receive these services at no charge.

Recovery Services

McQuillen Creative Group is not responsible for the time or costs incurred to recover and restore a website to a working state due to hacking, malicious activity, client error, or other circumstances outside of our control.

In addition, McQuillen Creative Group cannot under any circumstances be held liable for any loss of income, profit, business, contracts or goodwill or any indirect or financial loss suffered a party, whether resulting from hacking, malicious activity, client error, or website compromises yet to be invented.

If your website needs to be restored due to hacking, malicious activity or client error, we offer the following recovery services at our standard hourly rate:

  • Diagnosis
  • Restore from a backup if available
  • Manual site cleaning and restoration

Note: our maintenance agreement does not include recovery services. However, customers with a Maintenance Agreement receive a 10% discount on our hourly rate.
